I've been waiting for this book, Vana's follow-up to her debut Ithaca Island Bay Leaves: A Mythistorima (2009), for a long time. A decade to be precise. This is worth the wait, and the time she has spent on these poems really shows in their richness, depth and uniqueness. To do what she wanted to do with these poems, she has had to develop her own forms to work with parallelling and connectness – one example is in this page spread below. We're launching it in Auckland, as part of the Auckland Writers Festival, and in Wellington shortly afterwards – invitations coming shortly.
